The UCSF Pathology Department participated with record numbers at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the US and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP).
The UCSF Pathology Department participated en masse at the 2024 Annual Meeting of the US and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP).
Although our department has typically maintained a consistently extensive involvement in USCAP through the past 20 years, this year we broke our record of accepted abstracts (49) and also platform presentations (15).
As per the announcement by BWF at: https://www.bwfund.org/news/bwf-announces-the-2022-career-awards-for-medical-scientists/, the investment of 9.8 million dollars to this year’s cohort represents its largest commitment to date.
The USCAP combined a live and virtual option to the Annual Meeting this year, and a full complement of UCSF faculty and trainees returned in person to present abstracts as well as participate in many other events.

The AANP Annual Meeting in 2021 was a hybrid, with both some live as well as “virtual only” events. Dr. Arie Perry, Director of NP, attended in person, and the remaining UCSF group attended virtually.
