Hospitals

The research, education, and clinical activities of the UCSF Departments of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine are carried out at five major University-affiliated hospitals: UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights, UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and San Francisco VA Health Care System. Given the size and diversity of the population of the San Francisco Bay area, these academic medical centers provide treatment for an extremely wide range of patients. Consequently, our residents are exposed to the full spectrum of patients and disease conditions on a regular basis.
