Research and Clinical Interests
My laboratory is interested in the development of cellular therapies for diseases affecting blood and liver. Our current focus is on the development of a stem cell therapy for hemoglobinopathies based on the use of induced pluripotent stem cells. We also study the early development of human stem cell populations with a focus on hematopoietic and hepatic stem cells found in the prenatal liver.
