Research and Clinical Interests

Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases (IND) at UCSF. My research group uses stem cell-based neuronal models and patient brain samples to study neurodegeneration, including ALS, and is based in the new Weill Neurosciences Building at Mission Bay.

My clinical interests focus on diagnostic neuropathology, particularly dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases.
