I am interested in general surgical pathology and subspecialty gastrointestinal/liver pathology. My research has evaluated diagnostic criteria of medical liver pathology, with a focus on disease recurrence in the post-transplant liver, including studies to distinguish recurrent autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) from plasma cell hepatitis and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
