Drs. Emily Waterhouse and David Solomon Receive the Hans Popper Hepatopathology Society Prize
Dr. Emily Waterhouse (resident) and Dr. David Solomon (neuropathology fellow), were awarded the Hans Popper Hepatopathology Society prize for the best paper by trainees at the US and Canadian Academy of Pathology Annual Meeting, Mar 2015. The winning paper was entitled: Validation of an RT-PCR assay for detection of recurrent DNAJB1-PRKACA fusion transcripts in fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. Two other residents, Dr. Chris Tsokos and Dr. Dana Balitzer, won first and second runner up respectively.
