Research and Clinical Interests
My clinical interests lie in the development and evaluation of microbiology diagnostic assays. I work on the design and implementation of rapid molecular tests and next-generation sequencing assays. The emphasis of this work is to solve unmet clinical needs particularly in resource limited settings, and for the improvement of global health.
My academic research interests particularly include virology, mucosal immunology, and emerging infectious diseases.
