Collection Instructions Collect stool in Para-Pak C&S transport medium. Refrigerate specimen until it is delivered to the laboratory.

Wound or Other Soft Tissue specimens: Obtain biopsy, exudate, or swab in holding medium from lesion. Keep specimen at room temperature until it is delivered to the laboratory.
Special instructions It is essential to indicate prospective diagnosis so that appropriate media will be used for culture and more rapid identification can be achieved.
