Additional information Consultation regarding rabies post-exposure, prophylaxis is available from the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Communicable Disease Control Unit between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm weekdays. Call (415) 554-2830. For after hours emergency consultation, contact the San Francisco General Hospital ID Fellow at 443-2847 or the SFDPH, Communicable Disease Control Unit at (415) 554-2830, and follow the prompts to reach the on-call physician.

Human diploid cell vaccine (HDCV) and Human Rabies Immune Globulin (HRIG) are available for sale or replacement on an emergency basis from:
