Method Real time PCR detection and thermal melt analysis
Collection Instructions Unroof lesion and swab fluid of vesicle and base of lesion to obtain cells. Immediately place swab in UTM.
If testing of BAL/bronchial wash, body fluids, or tissue is required, order Herpes Simples Virus PCR, Quantitative
Do not draw blood from heparin containing lines.
