Joseph Thomas Rabban III, MD, MPH
Research and Clinical Interests
My clinical specialty is diagnostic surgical pathology consultation in gynecologic pathology (diseases of the ovary, uterus, peritoneum, vagina, vulva) and in breast pathology. As a member of the UCSF Multidisciplinary Gynecologic Tumor Board and the Multidisciplinary Breast Tumor Board, I work closely with surgeons and oncologists, providing pathologic consultation in both areas of women’s cancer.
My clinical research focuses on differential diagnostic criteria and tumor classification of women’s cancer (GYN and breast).
I lecture in continuing medical education courses nationally (USCAP Annual Meeting Short Courses) and regionally (California Society of Pathologist’s annual meetings, UCSF/Stanford Current Issues in Anatomic Pathology annual meetings, Kaiser Hospital annual seminars)
